Carlos Alcaraz - You Don't Suffer You Don't Get It

                                             Mental Strength Leap

If you don't want to suffer, you're not going to get anywhere in life. At least, that's what Carlos Alcaraz believes. The Spanish tennis player has built his success on a mindset of never giving up, no matter how tough the circumstances. The gladiator mentality was first implanted in Carlos by his father, “You don’t suffer you don’t get it”, his father would always tell him that suffering is the key ingredient to accomplishing greatness It's a message that has stuck with Alcaraz throughout his career.

It is this mindset that has allowed Alcaraz to overcome some tough challenges in his career, including a serious back injury that sidelined him for several months. Alcaraz’s fighting spirit was on full display at the 2018 French Open junior tournament, where he came back from a set down to win the title. Alcaraz's also showed his fighting mettle at the 2019 French Open, where he battled through injury to reach the third round. It was a gutsy performance that showed the tennis world what he is made of.

There is no doubt that Alcaraz has the talent to be a great player. But it's his mental toughness that sets him apart from the rest. He knows that suffering is part of the journey to success. And he is never afraid to put in the hard work to get there.

After defeating Rafa and Djokovic at Madrid Open Alcaraz shared the key ingredients to his gladiator performance "As I have always said, you have to try to go for the match," he began. "In those decisive moments is when you see the good players and the top players, that is where you can tell the difference between a good player and a top player"

Yes …. What differentiates the top players is that willingness to never give up, to always find a way to win no matter how tough the match or situation is. That is the Spanish tennis mentality: you don't suffer, you don't get it.

This means that Carlos is willing to fight and never give up. This is what sets him apart from other players and is the reason why he is so successful. The Middle Class and the Average Ones want to give up when things get tough. They see an obstacle and think that it is too hard to overcome. Carlos Alcaraz – The World Class teaches us that this is not the correct way to think. When you encounter difficulties, you should be willing to fight and never give up. This is what makes Carlos Alcaraz so successful. This is a valuable lesson for us all and one that we should all remember.

The young Spaniard the rising star in the sport has already drawn comparisons to one of the greatest players of all time, Rafael Nadal. Alcaraz’s game is built on the same foundations as Nadal’s – discipline, perseverance, concentration, suffering, fighting spirit, pain tolerance, sportsmanship-respect for others, humility, and teamwork.

Not only a fantastic tennis player but clearly a wonderful human being too.

Like Nadal, Alcaraz is left-handed and plays an aggressive, high-risk game that puts immense pressure on his opponents. But it is not only Alcaraz’s game that is similar to Nadal’s – it is his mindset. Spanish tennis mentality is all about "You don't suffer, you don't get it" and this is something that Alcaraz has embodied from a young age. The fighting spirit and willingness to suffer that is the hallmark of Carlos Alcaraz is what sets him apart from other players on the tour and is what will help him to reach the very top of the game.
